  • What do I need to get my MMJ prescriptions?

    You can get your prescriptions from a dispensary after receiving your MMJ certification. You will need to provide your MMJ Certification Card and the prescription from your doctor. You have two options to receiving your prescriptions. You can pick up your prescription from a dispensary or have them mailed right to your home.

  • How Long Does the appointment take?

    We are happy to answer any questions you have pertaining to the certification process either on the phone or Via our live Chat feature on our website. You time with the physician will vary depending on needs and type of appointment, but as a general rule of thumb you should plan on being in our office for 30-45 minutes

  • What do I need to bring with me to the appointment?

    When you come to your appointment, you need to bring your photo identification which can be either a state issued ID or a US passport. You will need to provide your medical records (either printed or digital) and a listing of any medications you are currently taking. You will also need to bring a form of payment to pay for your visit. MedWell accepts cash, check, credit, or debit.

  • What is the Cost?

    First-time patients to medwell will be charged an initial certification fee of $175. This certification will be good for 7 months and will need to be renewed thereafter. Returning patients will pay $150 in 7- month intervals to keep their certification active. Patients will have unlimited access to MedWell resources during active certification. MedWell offers Veteran/Military, Senior, and first responder discounts daily.

  • Where do I go for the appointment?

    MedWell has an office conveniently located at 3807 Tyrone Blvd N St. Petersburg, FL. We also offer in home or on-site certifications for patients unable to make it to one of our offices

  • When does my certification expire?

    Unless otherwise noted, patients must see a MedWell physician at least once every 7 months.

  • Can I smoke in public?

    No. Public consumption is not permitted and all medication must be consumed privately. This applies to all forms of ingestion including vaping and marijuana infused products.

  • Is Medical Marijuana covered by insurance?

    No. Since it is still federally illegal insurance companies will not reimburse for Medical Marijuana expenses. MedWell offers many discount programs for those who qualify, and many Medical Marijuana Dispensaries around the state have similar programs to obtain the actual medicine itself.
