As we turn the chapter on 2021, this is the time of year we start making new goals and resolutions. We evaluate our health and aim to kick off the year with good intentions. Your Medical Cannabis regimen is a big part of your wellness plan in 2022.

Medical Cannabis and You

We created a list of tips to consider for 2022 regarding your health and wellness.

1.) Check your medical cannabis card expiration date: Your card is valid for 12 months, but you will want to start setting up your appointment 45-60 days prior. This ensures your card does not expire and you have no interruptions accessing your medical cannabis. Although you can get cannabis recreationally, you will be charged over 20% in sales tax! Don’t let your card expire! The good news is that as a Medwell patient, we make sure to notify you via email, text, and phone of your upcoming expiration.

2) Meet with a Patient Coordinator: Many local dispensaries have a patient coordinator available to speak to you about the different types of medical cannabis products. They can answer all of your questions on edibles, vapes, tinctures, help you determine the best TCH level to start with, and more. If you still have questions, our team is always available to help get you the answers you need.

3.) Get money back in your wallet! Dispensaries typically have medical cannabis discounts for both new patients and recertifying patients. Be sure to ask when you go to get your product. Many dispensaries also have rewards programs that you can earn points towards future purchases. Be sure to sign up for email or SMS promotions so you do not miss a discount! 4.) Get educated! Attend online and in-person training when available. Education is the key to your wellness. Typically medical cannabis educational events are a great place to ask questions, learn about the industry, and learn best practices and opportunities to meet doctors and experts in the cannabis field. check out our calendar for upcoming table talk and live stream events.

5) Get involved in the conversation! Follow your favorite doctor’s office and dispensaries on social media. They often post invaluable tips, blog posts, changes to Massachusetts’s law on medical cannabis, and more! Be sure to follow Medwell! We are on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!
